لماذا الاستضافة في المملكة المتحدة؟

London does broker-adjacent work more than anything else: MT4 and MT5 terminals, execution bots, and anything that wants a Docklands round trip, alongside ordinary UK-facing web stacks. Manchester carries the northern half of that list and the customers who keep a second British instance, because one site is one failure domain wherever it is.

الإطار القانوني

The United Kingdom left the EU and kept the regime largely intact as UK GDPR, though the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 has since amended it and is commencing in stages, including a rebuild of the regulator that is today the Information Commissioner's Office. Retention notices can be served on an operator here, and the operator may not say so; the definition of a telecommunications operator is drawn broadly, and how far it reaches a virtual-server host has not been settled. Content comes down on a court order, and Ofcom, not a complainant, administers the online safety rules.

أسئلة تخص المملكة المتحدة

01Is UK GDPR still equivalent to the EU regime?
Broadly, as of writing: the same principles, the same rights, the same subject-access route, supervised by the Information Commissioner's Office instead of an EU authority. Divergence has begun on the data-protection side as well, and where it ends is a live question rather than a settled one — the investigatory side is only where it shows up first for a host. We answer orders valid where the server sits, and produce only the short list in the privacy policy.
02London or Manchester?
London if latency to Docklands, to LINX or across the Atlantic is the point; it is the larger site and peers at both LINX LON1 and LONAP. Manchester if the users sit closer to it than to the capital, or if you already run in London and want the second copy somewhere else entirely. IXManchester is the local exchange, and the site is smaller by design.

أسئلة

أسئلة عن الاستضافة في المملكة المتحدة

01Do I really not have to verify my identity?
Correct. Ordering requires an email address and a payment, and that is the whole list. There is no document upload, no selfie, no phone verification, no address check and no card on file. We have never run identity verification and we do not plan to start — the cheapest way to protect customer documents is to never hold any.
02What do you actually store about me?
Your email address, your invoices, the configuration of your servers, and 72 hours of NetFlow-level connection metadata used only for abuse investigation. Nothing else. When you close the account, all of it is erased within 24 hours except invoices, which accounting law makes us keep for ten years — those hold an invoice name of your choosing and no verified identity.
03Why can I only buy six or twelve months at a time?
Because it is what makes the price possible. Monthly billing means churn, idle capacity kept warm for people who might come back, payment retries and support load. Selling in terms removes all of it, and lets us buy hardware against known demand rather than a forecast. The saving goes straight into the rate card — a twelve-month Base works out around 20% below the six-month rate, and both are below what monthly billing would cost us to offer.
04How many IP addresses do I get?
One dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6 with every plan. Up to eight extra IPv4 addresses can be added at €1.20 each per month, assigned from the region's own prefix so geolocation stays consistent. A routed /48 of IPv6 is €2 a month if you are running your own network behind us.
05Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, on every plan, with no separate charge and no traffic threshold. Volumetric attacks are absorbed by hardware scrubbers at the edge and mitigation engages in under four seconds. The advanced tier adds layer-7 scrubbing and rules you write yourself, which matters for game servers and public APIs but not for much else.
06Is port 25 open? Can I run a mail server?
Port 25 is closed by default on new instances and opened on request — send a ticket saying what you are sending and to roughly how many recipients. It usually takes under an hour. Custom reverse DNS on both v4 and v6 is self-service from the console, which is the part that actually determines whether your mail lands.
