لماذا الاستضافة في مولدوفا؟

Chișinău takes the work that gets complained about: mirrors of reporting pulled down elsewhere, forums, VPN endpoints, and one of the four sites where we permit Tor exits. Customers pick it over Bucharest or Warsaw when being outside EU instruments matters more than being inside them, and they accept a smaller hall and thinner peering for it.

الإطار القانوني

Moldova is outside the EU, so EU instruments do not reach a server here directly. A national personal-data law applies instead, supervised by the National Centre for Personal Data Protection, and it has been drawn steadily closer to the European text under the association agreement. Accession negotiations are open, which means the property people buy Chișinău for has an end date nobody can name yet. As of writing there is no general communications-retention mandate on hosting providers here, and content comes down on an order from a Moldovan court, not on an email to abuse.

أسئلة تخص مولدوفا

01Is Moldova outside EU law for a server, or only outside the EU politically?
Outside in both senses, as far as the disk is concerned. The law that applies to us for data on an instance is the law of the country the metal sits in, and in Chișinău that is Moldovan law under the National Centre for Personal Data Protection. That says nothing about your own position: if the GDPR reaches what you do with your users' data, moving the disk to Chișinău does not change it. What we hold is identical everywhere — an email address, invoices, configurations and seventy-two hours of NetFlow.
02Can I run a Tor exit node in Chișinău?
Yes. Chișinău is one of four sites where exits are permitted, alongside Amsterdam, Reykjavík and Bucharest. We ask for the standard reduced exit policy and a published abuse contact. Complaints then go to that contact with the evidence attached, and we do not ask you to justify running a relay.

أسئلة

أسئلة عن الاستضافة في مولدوفا

01Do I really not have to verify my identity?
Correct. Ordering requires an email address and a payment, and that is the whole list. There is no document upload, no selfie, no phone verification, no address check and no card on file. We have never run identity verification and we do not plan to start — the cheapest way to protect customer documents is to never hold any.
02What do you actually store about me?
Your email address, your invoices, the configuration of your servers, and 72 hours of NetFlow-level connection metadata used only for abuse investigation. Nothing else. When you close the account, all of it is erased within 24 hours except invoices, which accounting law makes us keep for ten years — those hold an invoice name of your choosing and no verified identity.
03Why can I only buy six or twelve months at a time?
Because it is what makes the price possible. Monthly billing means churn, idle capacity kept warm for people who might come back, payment retries and support load. Selling in terms removes all of it, and lets us buy hardware against known demand rather than a forecast. The saving goes straight into the rate card — a twelve-month Base works out around 20% below the six-month rate, and both are below what monthly billing would cost us to offer.
04How many IP addresses do I get?
One dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6 with every plan. Up to eight extra IPv4 addresses can be added at €1.20 each per month, assigned from the region's own prefix so geolocation stays consistent. A routed /48 of IPv6 is €2 a month if you are running your own network behind us.
05Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, on every plan, with no separate charge and no traffic threshold. Volumetric attacks are absorbed by hardware scrubbers at the edge and mitigation engages in under four seconds. The advanced tier adds layer-7 scrubbing and rules you write yourself, which matters for game servers and public APIs but not for much else.
06Is port 25 open? Can I run a mail server?
Port 25 is closed by default on new instances and opened on request — send a ticket saying what you are sending and to roughly how many recipients. It usually takes under an hour. Custom reverse DNS on both v4 and v6 is self-service from the console, which is the part that actually determines whether your mail lands.
