Waarom hosten in Brazilië?

São Paulo is where Brazilian traffic meets Brazilian eyeballs instead of transiting Miami. Game servers for Portuguese-speaking communities, payment integrations that expect a local source address, Latin American CDN origins, and crawlers working publicly accessible Brazilian sources at a polite rate. Most customers arrive after measuring what a Miami origin costs a São Paulo user in milliseconds.

Juridisch kader

The LGPD applies, enforced by the ANPD. Brazil is unusual in writing log retention into statute: the Marco Civil sets keeping periods for connection and application providers, and how those categories land on a foreign infrastructure operator is, as of writing, unsettled. The Marco Civil also made a specific court order the trigger for removing user content, but the Supreme Court narrowed that in 2025 and notice alone can now carry liability in some categories — so read the court-order rule as the general case rather than the whole of it. We answer orders valid in Brazil.

Vragen specifiek voor Brazilië

01Does the Marco Civil force you to log my traffic for a year?
The statute writes retention periods for connection providers and for application providers, and neither category was drafted with a foreign company renting virtual machines in mind. As of writing the position is unsettled and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we hold is the list in the privacy policy, and it is the same in São Paulo as in Frankfurt.
02Can I pay from Brazil without a CPF or a card?
Yes. Payment is crypto only, through OxaPay, in any of forty-two assets — you are quoted in euros and provisioning starts on the first confirmation. There is no tax identifier field, no billing address and no card. The invoice carries whatever company name you type into the console, and we do not verify it.

Vragen

Vragen over hosten in Brazilië

01Do I really not have to verify my identity?
Correct. Ordering requires an email address and a payment, and that is the whole list. There is no document upload, no selfie, no phone verification, no address check and no card on file. We have never run identity verification and we do not plan to start — the cheapest way to protect customer documents is to never hold any.
02What do you actually store about me?
Your email address, your invoices, the configuration of your servers, and 72 hours of NetFlow-level connection metadata used only for abuse investigation. Nothing else. When you close the account, all of it is erased within 24 hours except invoices, which accounting law makes us keep for ten years — those hold an invoice name of your choosing and no verified identity.
03Why can I only buy six or twelve months at a time?
Because it is what makes the price possible. Monthly billing means churn, idle capacity kept warm for people who might come back, payment retries and support load. Selling in terms removes all of it, and lets us buy hardware against known demand rather than a forecast. The saving goes straight into the rate card — a twelve-month Base works out around 20% below the six-month rate, and both are below what monthly billing would cost us to offer.
04How many IP addresses do I get?
One dedicated IPv4 and a routed /64 of IPv6 with every plan. Up to eight extra IPv4 addresses can be added at €1.20 each per month, assigned from the region's own prefix so geolocation stays consistent. A routed /48 of IPv6 is €2 a month if you are running your own network behind us.
05Is DDoS protection included?
Yes, on every plan, with no separate charge and no traffic threshold. Volumetric attacks are absorbed by hardware scrubbers at the edge and mitigation engages in under four seconds. The advanced tier adds layer-7 scrubbing and rules you write yourself, which matters for game servers and public APIs but not for much else.
06Is port 25 open? Can I run a mail server?
Port 25 is closed by default on new instances and opened on request — send a ticket saying what you are sending and to roughly how many recipients. It usually takes under an hour. Custom reverse DNS on both v4 and v6 is self-service from the console, which is the part that actually determines whether your mail lands.
