A Docker VPS that costs less than the registry

Container platforms bill per gigabyte-hour and per egress byte, and the invoice arrives after you have spent it. A KVM instance with root, real NVMe and a fixed monthly figure is the boring alternative that most teams end up back on.

Waarom mensen hierheen komen

VPS for Docker and containers

01

True KVM, not a container pretending to be a server

You get your own kernel, your own cgroups and your own iptables. Nested virtualisation is enabled, so Docker-in-Docker, Firecracker and KVM inside the instance all work — which is not true of OpenVZ or LXC hosts at this price.

02

A fixed number at the bottom of the page

Compute, storage, a dedicated IPv4 and the traffic allowance are one figure per month, paid for the term up front. There is no per-request charge, no egress meter and no load-balancer line item.

03

Coolify or Dokploy in one click

If you want the deploy-from-Git experience without the platform bill, the Coolify and Dokploy images are pre-built. Point a webhook at it and you have a private PaaS on a machine you control.

04

Gen4 NVMe, which container workloads actually feel

Image pulls, layer extraction and database containers are all IO-bound. 186 000 random-read IOPS on the Base plan is the difference between a stack that comes up in eight seconds and one that takes ninety.

Vragen

Veelgestelde vragen

01How can it be this cheap and still be fast?
Three reasons, none of them exciting. We buy last-generation-plus-one EPYC hosts outright instead of renting capacity from a hyperscaler. We sell terms, so a host is full the day it is racked instead of three months later. And we do not employ a sales team. What we do not do is oversubscribe past 3:1 on fair-share plans or past 1:1 on dedicated-core plans — the numbers on the performance page come from production hosts under real load.
02Can I resize a server mid-term?
Upwards, at any time, with the difference pro-rated across the remaining term. Downwards at the end of the term. Memory and vCPU changes need a reboot; disk grows online. Moving between regions is a rebuild, not a resize — the data does not follow.
03Are backups included?
Two manual snapshots per instance are free and always available. Scheduled backups are an option priced as 10% of the compute line for weekly and 20% for daily — weekly keeps four restore points in the same country, daily keeps fourteen in a second one. Restores are self-service from the console and take minutes, not a ticket.
04Why can I only buy six or twelve months at a time?
Because it is what makes the price possible. Monthly billing means churn, idle capacity kept warm for people who might come back, payment retries and support load. Selling in terms removes all of it, and lets us buy hardware against known demand rather than a forecast. The saving goes straight into the rate card — a twelve-month Base works out around 20% below the six-month rate, and both are below what monthly billing would cost us to offer.
