SHEET EVPS-WEB-001 · AS204915 · SCALE 1:1 · Operating continuously since 2014
Swiss data-protection law, hydro-powered facility, and the strictest disclosure regime we operate under.
Zurich · ZRH1
ZRH1 is in Glattbrugg, out by the airport, and it came up in 2016 — the same year we published the acceptable use policy in the two-page form it still has. Not a coincidence: writing down what we would and would not do was a precondition for operating where the disclosure rules are this strict. Init7 is on the transit list on purpose, being an ISP whose position is that it does not interfere with traffic.
What it reaches
Thirty-three sessions between SwissIX and CIXP, the exchange at CERN, which together cover both halves of the country rather than only the German-speaking one. Three milliseconds across the Zurich metro; Init7 carries what is not peered. Southern Germany and northern Italy are short hops from here.
The trade-off
Zurich shows low stock more often than not, and the reason is floor price rather than demand — Swiss hall space costs what it costs, so we run this room closer to full than most. Check that the size you want is orderable before you plan around it.
Fleet
NVMe KVM instances in Zurich, from €1.90 a month on a twelve-month term. Email address only, crypto accepted, live in under a minute.
